Don DeMatto

Don DeMatto

Don DeMatto . . .Don DeMatto
grew up in Pennsylvania and learned how to bowhunt with his grandfather when he was 12. Unfortunately his grandfather passed when Don was 13 so there was not much he really learned other than a true love for the outdoors and bowhunting. Most everything that he learned to become as successful as he has been over the years has come through trial and error. He spent 24 years in the submarine force of the US Navy which afforded him the opportunity to hunt in many Don DeMattoareas of the country and learn various species of game. After he retired from the US Navy in 2006 in the State of Connecticut, he moved with his family to Michigan. His experience combined with his deep love and desire to be chasing game combines to provide excitement on every hunt. He is currently booked to hunt in Ontario Canada this August for Black Bear and is looking at an African Safari within the next 3 years.

Outdoor Fanatics. . .

It all started in the spring of 2009 when we captured our first succesful hunt on video.  Addicted to the challenge of filming our outdoor adventures in a way that would captivate viewers, we carried that little Sony Handycam with us fishing, scouting and hunting.

After shooting bows one Wednesday night at the local archery range,  another hunting fanatic talked about what it would be like to be able to document his own hunts on video as he had seen on tv.  With the purchase of a camera in addition to the one we had, (and maybe borrowing our moms' a few times) we now trekked into the woods committed to making it possible to re-live the moments we were about to experience through the viewfinder of our cameras.  Throughout the fall, a few friends gathered continuously with motivation and excitement.  We came up with our name, Outdoor Fanatics.  With many memorable hunts from the 2009 season captured on tape, we decided to purchase several new videocameras and really chase our addiction.

By midsummer of 2010, we met other Outdoor Fanatics and our group expanded.  Networking with a few friends in the industry garnered a variety of product sponsorships.

Our dream of documenting our hunts on video to share and entertain others is quickly becoming a reality and we are excited to reveal our efforts!

Our mission is to bring you, the viewer, along with us on our outdoor adventures.  We are just a few friends from Wisconsin trying to relate to the average working hunter that saves vacation time for the hunting seasons. It is who we are.  We all "Gotta Start Somewhere"!

Terry Cauley Terry CauleyTerry Cauley . . .
bow hunts about 90 days per year and gun hunts around 12 times per year. He has been bowhunting for 26 years and has been working in Archery Pro Shops for 18 years. He's tried a lot of scent eliminators in his life as a bowhunter and is excited about sharing the Oxy Elim-A-Scent products with his fellow hunters. Terry can be found at many events at Cabela's and the annual Deer and Turkey Expo. He also does 100 3-D shoots a year and spends free time at local Archery clubs.

Dane Hanger

Dane Hanger . . .
personally believes that part of promoting archery is maintaining its success locally. He takes part in as many local shoots as he possibly can, is active in his archery club, and gets involved with other clubs to maximize his networks of fellow hunters.

Dane is involved in Hunters for the Hungry– a non profit organization that raises food for families in need as well as Women in the Outdoors in which they teach women basic weapon safety and then take them hunting to utilize what they've learned.

Currently, Dane has helped with the Wheeling Sportsman, an organization for physically challenged participants in wheelchairs. He has also assisted in the Wounded Warrior program where US veterans are taken out fishing and hunting.

Although Dane is active in many programs, his passion is working with kids. He is involved in the Youth Hunter Education Challenge Program in which they teach kids how to shoot accurately and safely. They have won two national championships!  He enjoys teaching children the sport of safe shooting. He savors the look on their face when standing 10 yards away they pop their first balloon! He's also taken a couple of kids on the ASA and the IBO tour.

Dane quoted Ted Nuggent to best explain kids in the outdoors:
“IF YOU TAKE KIDS HUNTING, YOU WON’T HAVE TO HUNT FOR THE KIDS”

Dennis Irvine Dennis Irvine . . .
is 40 years old and has been an archery tech for 12 years now and is currently employed at Rochester Outdoor Outfitters in Rochester, Indiana. In 1988, he attended an Outfitter and Guide School in Montana. He's been bowhunting for 30 years and is a die hard bowhunter and a scent control freak. He will be using the product in the field and in his video production as well. He plans to let his customers know how well Oxy Elim-A-Scent is working in his field trials.

Russ Kloehn Russ Kloehn . . .
has been bow hunting for 40 years and gun hunting for 36 years. He considers himself an avid outdoorsman. He's fished numerous tournaments for smallmouth bass and walleyes. His best tournaments have been with John Schreiber while fishing for Hunt N Shop. They paid a few bills along the way and had a great time doing them. He takes his hunting and fishing very seriously. He surrounds himself with the best products he can afford. Last year, he started using the Oxy-Elim-A-Scent Micro in a ground blind and was very surprised on how close the game would come in. This year he used it in his box blind and did it work! He took a nice buck with the rifle that was straight down wind of him and had no idea he was there. The addition of the Micro to his arsenal tops off his attempt at complete scent free hunting.

Jerry Long

Jerry LongJerry Long. . .
was introduced to bowhunting in Wisconsin while on shore duty with the U.S. Navy in 1993. Later that year, he harvested a one-horned 3-pointer on highly-pressured public lands in the first fifteen minutes of the season.  From that point on, he's been afflicted with the bowhunting plague.  Having been involved in a 20 year U.S. Navy career from 1987-2007, he fit in bowhunting adventures when and where he could for 17 years.  Now that he's retired from active duty, he has more time to pursue that bowhunting obsession.

With luck and determination, he has taken whitetail deer, black bear, feral hogs, collared peccary (javelina), turkey, pronghorn, five species of African plains game, as well as, a variety of small game and fish species using archery equipment.  He is looking to pursue turkey in Kansas, elk and mule deer out west, hogs and javelina in Texas and another trip to South Africa.

Mike Malicki Mike Malicki . . .
Just built a new home with a bedroom dedicated to hunting prep, planning and storage. (Oxy Elim-A-Scent) Pro is keeping this room scent free. "When my friends walk in they immediately notice the way the air smells and then the story begins", says Mike. "I have tried not spraying down, just the clothing that has been exposed to (Oxy Elim-A-Scent) and have had as many deer approach that have with spray. No trouphy pictures yet but as you know I am looking for the monster this year..."

Rick Miller Rick Miller . . .Rick Miller
bow hunts about 20-30 times per year and gun hunts 5-10 times per year. Rick owned his own archery shop for 5 years and subsequently helped the new owners who bought him out for the next 3 years. Currently he works on bows, and sells strings and arrows in his spare time. This allows him to interact with many other hunters. He also works as an engineer for a tool and die shop with 200 employees— many of them being hunters. He has been married for 16 years and has 2 wonderfull daughters. He hopes to pass along his passion for bowhunting to his daughters someday.
Rick Miller

Seth Short Seth Short . . .
bow hunts 60-90 days per year in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky & West Virginia, so he is an established archer with plenty of experience in the field. The one advantage Seth feels he has is his commitment to scent elimination and playing the wind. "If you don't do these two things, your odd's go down. With the Oxy Elim-A-Scent system, it's like your getting a one up on the game." He will help in any way possible to spread the word, educate, and show the benefits of Oxy Elim-A-Scent.

Ryan Simpson Ryan Simpson . . .
bow hunts 100-120 times per year in South Dakota. He is an avid outdoorsman and hunter, passionate about always having the uppermost hand in the hunting woods. He is a voice for what the smaller non-commercialized hunter is looking for, or would use. His hunting is mostly on public ground where the game has seen most everything, however, with the help of a pro-staffer and state-of-the-art technology like Oxy Elim-A-Scent, unobtainable game could become more obtainable to the average hunter.

Clyde Wiggins

Clyde G. Wiggins III. . .
bow hunts about 25 times per year in Florida. He is an ordinary person that hunters can relate too.  He's not a TV personality that changes products depending on which way the wind blows.  If Clyde finds a product he likes, he sticks with it and he's not afraid to tell his friends. He promotes products he uses and believes in. He's a lifelong hunter and over the last 25 years Clyde gradually got more serious about bowhunting, and today he's "bow only."  As a bowhunter, he realized early on the importance of scent control and a nifty unit like the Oxy Elim-A-Scent.
